2023 brings Mercury! CSAF .38’s Mercury Rising is a multi-banner winning, medium silver grey male out of you know who - some fella by the name of .38 Special! So basically, his genetics could have foretold his show ring success. Mercury stands upright, and has a strong boned, well balanced frame. What a gem of a little girl! She is already manifesting the fiber characteristics we long for. Fineness, consistency, and structure. She has the look and fleece of her father and we have no doubts she will be a producer of color. She does exhibit two small white spots, but the blanket is solid and pure. What a great addition to our herd! We are so grateful for what we have in this special female....

A full-fleeced infatuation! That is how we best describe our introduction to this little guy! With powerhouse genetics from both his Sire and Dam, we expected some strong fleece characteristics. He has not disappointed in the least. It is already clear that his density is anything but average and his crimp structure and bundling will make many an alpaca lover stand up and take notice! With his dash of color, we also get excited about the possibilities of being bred to some of our darker females. When he is ready, there will be some top-notch breeding options for this fine fellow!

Sable took 2nd place at nationals ... not bad, right? Then you find out she took 2nd to the eventual Reserve Color Champion and you can't help but take notice. Finally, she did all that at 7 months old, with a late shear date. Of course, just as she was primed and ready to rock additional shows, the world turned upside down and cut her showing career short. But there is no doubt there was some additional hardware to be won. At this point, we recognized and were left pondering pure promise ... and we haven't even hit on her genetic offering yet. One of the last daughters of a truly great alpaca. Avatar's Rose Petal is a keeper for sure. We are thrilled to add her to our herd and can't wait to see how she continues to develop.
