Her dam, Rockford Racquel is the spectacular result of an amazing pairing between Elite Studmaster MSA Hemingway's Bogart & Snowmass Shalimara. Racquel is extremely dense, and comes from exclusively supreme lines as a 2nd generational Peruvian import from both sides.
Snowmass Shalimara is a RARE PURE Mucasani Alianza female by Peruvian Don Julio G159 (recently deceased) and Pperuvian Salome. The Rural Alianza (Plantel herd) of Peru breeds some of the finest fibered alpacas in the world, but specialized in producing a very dense fleece, averaging 24 microns. Great sires imported into the US from the Rural Alianza include Peruvian Don Julio, Peruvian Bueno, Peruvian Drambuie, and Peruvian Hemingway.
