Rockford Snow Legends Artic Sunrise

Sunrise has beautifully dense & lustrous fleece with a good, strong micron count and conformation.
As proven below, with this female, comes color, & lots of variety as well. Nowadays, there are so many breeding opportunities, making endless possibilities for her offspring’s color, etc.

For example, Arlene Francis-her maternal grandmother produced a shadow of her self in Faline-Sunrise’s dam. Faline has the look of a vicuna, is exceedingly sweet to both animals & people, & a real pleasure to work with, as she would never spit on a human. In addition to this, she is also an exceptional mother with easy deliveries & plenty of milk.

At the age of 6, Faline had an outstanding micron count of 21.6! Amazing!!! She also has wonderful density & luster, as well as being the daughter of Wooded Hills Winston (pictured ad right), a medium silver gray male with exquisite fleece.

Sunrise's sire - award-winning Accoyo SNOWMASS SNOW LEGEND - is one of the finest studs in the nation, who had a cashmere-like fleece of 14.4 micron count in 2004 and has retained his lingering fineness, still at 20.8 microns at 9 years of age. He represents the greatness of his sire & grandsire, with an additional brightness, luster & highly expressive crimp making an unbelievable fleece on this true Champion. Snowmaster & Snowmass IncaAccoyo Star passed all this onto Legend, plus a great disposition!

Sunrise had her first cria--Lunar Eclipse, by Snowmass Reminiscence, who has almost impenetrably dense fleece and a champion ancestry line from Snowmass Snowmaster, Snowmass Edelweis, Snowmass Legacy Gold, and Snowmass Andean Gold. Lunar is dense and has a bouncy crimp.

In 2012, we bred her to Silver Spoon Viola--our Medium Rose Gray herdsire, who is an outstanding son of Snowmass Peruvian Casanova (sire of Snowmass Nova) & grandson of Aussie Rockford--to see if we could bring out her gray genetics....
And sure enough, she threw Silver Streak -- a stunning, dense Medium Silver Gray/Light Silver Gray male!! Silver Streak's fleece is extremely soft, dense, and has a long staple length, following after his sire.

We are currently rebreeding Sunrise to Silver Spoon Viola again for a Spring 2014 cria, for what is sure to be another stunning cria! If you want color, don't miss this matching!!
