Her sire: National champion - Accoyo SNOWMASS SNOW LEGEND had a 14.4 micron fleece at 1st shearing, and his fleece has maintained it's lingering fineness, still at 20.8 microns at 9 years of age. This, he has passed onto his offspring.
Her dam: HEMINGWAY'S NAOMI has added pervasive fineness and Elite genetics to our breeding program (including her grandsire the absolute Canadian Champion ROCKAMUNDO, who at 18 months had a 13.6 AFD & 14.5 lbs of pure fiber!!), as well as remarkable density and especially, *lingering fineness*. Even after her 8th shearing, her AFD is 19.5 microns!!!! Her offspring have carried on her fleece characteristics and lingering fineness.
Of notable mention is Promise's full sister - Daisy-Sunshine, who has maintained an impeccable fineness record, showing histograms of: 16.9 (year 1); 16.3 (year 2); 16.5 (year 3); 16.0 (year 4); 15.0 (year 5)!!
