His dam: NAOMI'S DAISY SUNSHINE (Out of National champion Snowmass Snow Legend, who had a 14.4 micron at 1st shearing, and who's fleece has maintained it's lingering fineness, still at 20.8 microns at 9 years of age), has maintained an impeccable fineness record, showing histograms of: 16.9 (year 1); 16.3 (year 2); 16.5 (year 3); 16.0 (year 4); 15.0 (year 5)!!
Her dam-Naomi has been one of our foundation females for years, adding pervasive fineness and Elite genetics to our breeding program (including her grandsire the absolute Canadian Champion ROCKAMUNDO, who at 18 months had a 13.6 AFD & 14.5 lbs of pure fiber!!), as well as remarkable density and especially, *lingering fineness*. Even after her 8th shearing, her AFD is 19.5 microns!!!! Her offspring have carried on her fleece characteristics and lingering fineness.
R3 has presence, and dense bundles of fleece, showing bright, low micron (14.3 microns at first shearing), low amplitude, high frequency, tight crimp. We are excited to see what his first histogram brings, and even further, what his breeding career brings.
